Our 2026 repair framework ensures your vintage gear receives expert attention with a clear, tiered assessment process. Every unit we service is backed by our heritage of quality and a detailed service report.
Level 1: In-House
Deposit: $120
Focus: Minor issues, tune-ups, belt-drive turntables, and speaker re-foaming.
Included: Cleaning, visual inspection, and up to 2 hours of labor.
Level 2: Intermediate
Deposit: $180
Focus: Direct-drive units, cassette decks, and complex mechanical gear. Includes partially disassembled or previously repaired Turntables, CD/Cassette players, and Speakers.
Included: Advanced troubleshooting at specialized facilities with high-fidelity test gear, and up to 2 hours of labor.
Level 3: Advanced
Deposit: $240
Focus: Power failure, channel distortion, and intermittent faults. Required for all partially disassembled Amps/Receivers or those with prior unsuccessful repair attempts.
Included: In-depth schematic research and specialized internal diagnostics.
Assessment & Approval Process
All repairs begin with a diagnostic bench time covered by your deposit. If repairs exceed the initial 2-hour window, we provide a price estimate for completion. We require client approval before proceeding with advanced repairs.

Beyond Economic Repair
Warranty
All completed repairs include a two-month warranty covering the same direct faults. This includes priority placement in our repair queue. Issues caused by misuse or unrelated faults are not covered. Information regarding your home system setup may be requested to determine the cause of warranty-related issues.
Pickup & Logistics
Every unit leaves with an Equipment Service Report.
Crucial Note: Unrepaired units not picked up within 90 days of notification will be recycled by Sound Heritage.
